Actor Chris Todd Durbin & Michelle Gilley trespassing and the relation to recent Thefts at the Haunted Woods
On Oct 19th and 20th Chris Todd Durbin ( https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100055417572740 https://x.com/chrisdurbin01?lang=en )reached out about being a guest actor for our Haunted Woods and Maze. Chris Todd joined us that weekend, Friday and Saturday night playing the role as Jason in front of a tent and camp scene we had in the woods. On Oct 23rd I was out of town, soon as I made it out of town my camera alerts started going off for the haunted woods. Turns out it was him and a haunt worker who had met (Michelle Gilley), trespassed then had sex a few feet from our security cameras. They started out at the maze (a few feet from the maze camera) then proceeded to the tent in the woods which also had a scare cam on it. Since Sunday Chris Todd Durbin had been messaging some of the workers until one finally agreed to meet him.
As i was out of town my camera alerts started going off, so i sent others up to check on the place. I finally got to a point where i could pull up the cameras to check the footage and seen/heard what had happened. When i found out, i sent word to leave and never come back. That night we all had some back and forth about the situation asking me to delete the footage, offering to buy the footage, because they are both married to other people etc (See fb posts starting here, scroll up from there to view the entire exchange https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1Azjz1q1hH/).
When i finally got back to town that Wednesday night i went up and checked everything, moved a few of the cameras around and brought some more. I did not see anything missing, i did think cash was missing at first but later figured out that was not the case. So that night everything was still there. I left the camera at the maze entrance (which is where they started), i left the camera that was beside the tent (which is also where they ended up). I added another camera at center of property and moved one of the scare cams from the other side of the woods.
The next day Thursday Oct 24 someone came back to the haunted house, stole most of our cameras and all of the kids costumes, some lights and props and such. Left anything of real value such as tools. They walked past the chainsaws, generators, cash box etc.. just to get the cameras. The cameras they took was the ones mentioned (maze cam, tent cam and outside cam sitting on table that covers enters and exits). These are all 3 cameras that caught footage of the situation the night before. Chris Todd Durbin went silent that morning, deleted all his socials and sent a message to his accomplice saying not to worry it would all die down. He has not been active on social media since. All cameras was connected to the cloud and all files are still there including the footage of cameras being stole.
Only one of the 2 people came back and helped clean the mess. Chris Todd instead of publicly apologizing, deleted his socials, and just went silent. Michelle did show up, made statements about the thefts, helped clean up and donated some items like costumes to replace what was stolen.
That weekend we was forced to run the haunted woods with no costumes, minimal props and no scare cams. Most places were out of stock to repurchase and there wasn’t any time. We want to thank everyone who came together to donated and help with what costumes we could get. It is very much appreciated.
We are not taking this situation lightly. Neither the Wednesday night situation or Thursday night situation. Both were reported, a full report was made on the situation along with footage turned over to the detectives.
